Conker 11 Year Old, Male, Ridgeback x Hound

Conker is an eleven year old, male, Ridgeback x Hound and he’s looking for his forever home. He’s microchipped & neutered. Conker is calm around the house and loves to sleep, however, he’s reactive to strangers and strange dogs. Conker has been fine with other animals (if introduced carefully) but isn’t happy around younger children. Conker would suit an experienced new home. Please enquire.

Conker's Assesment

● Conker is microchipped & neutered. He needs his vaccinations bringing up to date.
● Conker has mild arthritis in both elbows but no lameness and has not had any treatment required, except a Yumove course.
● When he’s left alone Conker is calm and likes to sleep.
● Conker is pleased to see you when you arrive home.
● Whilst you’re home he’s very quiet, likes to sleep, and will hardly ever follow you between rooms.
● Conker is reactive to people being at the front door and will bark. He needs to be kept behind a door or gate.
● Conker is fed twice a day and isn’t fussy with his food, he likes both raw food and kibble. Senior food can make him put on weight.
● He will sit and wait until he’s told he can start eating.
● Conker is fully house trained and has had some obedience training. He’ll recall to whistle or his name.
● Conker walks nicely on his lead but is reactive to other dogs. He signals to other dogs to keep away.
● Conker will live with other dogs but needs to be introduced carefully. He’s also lived with cats, chickens, and smaller animals and has been fine with them all. He hasn’t got a prey drive.
● Conker isn’t happy around younger children.
● Conker is receptive to distraction training as he’s very food driven.
